What’s New

First, an update on the book: Four chapters are complete and polished to perfection. It currently looks like there will be an Introduction, a Prologue, 23 Chapters, A Glossary, a Cast of Characters, a Photo section and the usual About the Author and Acknowledgment sections in the book. Over 55,000 words are already written towards the completed book. It is estimated that the completed book will be 75,000-100,000 words, possibly as many as 125,000 words by the time it is done. In reader terminology, I just hit 115 written pages, all included.

Four of the chapters that will be in the book will be entirely new material, the rest are things you have read on Tony’s blog with more background information included in the written chapters.

All that is left before I submit my book proposal to publishers is a choice of chapters to include as sample chapters. For those of you who have read what has been posted on Tony’s blog or my substack, please let me know in the comments if you have a choice of chapters from what I have written. I am currently leaning towards 

Chapter 9 – Infiltrating the FBI  (it’s called SMERSH on Tony’s site and expanded to A Spy is Born on my Substack) and

Chapter 19- Life Implodes and a Tricky Gamble Pays off (Titled Val Ross How Scientology Kept Her From Fleeing Abuse Until it was Almost Too Late) on substack.

If you, as readers think some of my other episodes have more punch, please let me know in the comments so I can include them instead. I intend to start submitting this proposal by mid-July.

Also coming up, I have recorded another podcast with Mike Rinder which he will be releasing in the near future, so keep an eye out for that. As soon as he announces it on his site, I will link to it here as well.

Karen de la Carriere and I are aiming to record a YouTube video which will hopefully be on her YouTube channel sometime in mid July. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on that as well.

The website is coming to life. The glossary now has over 60 definitions in it and is growing by the day. Please let me know if there are terms that are not in here that you want added and I will include them as soon as I can.
